Abstract
Against the background of globalization and the constant evolution of economic relations, the protection of trade secrets in labor relations becomes a necessity to ensure the sustainable competitiveness of enterprises in the international market. This article analyzes the multifaceted dimensions of trade secret protection, covering global business strategies, intercultural labor practices, international economic relations, and public policy fundamentals. Through the analysis of international agreements such as the TRIPS Agreement and the European Union Directive on Non-Competition Provisions, the article explores how various legal systems address trade secrets in labor relations, emphasizing the need for global harmonization. It also considers cultural differences in business and labor relations that influence the effectiveness of the legal framework in different markets. In addition, the study examines public policy initiatives aimed at balancing employer’s rights with employee’s mobility and innovation, especially in emerging markets and transition economies such as Ukraine, focusing on the legal aspects of trade secret protection in labor relations in Ukraine. Analyzing the legislative framework of Ukraine, the article highlights the problems and opportunities faced by enterprises when coordinating local policies with international standards. This interdisciplinary approach upholds the importance of a coherent global policy, while considering the role of labor mobility, cultural diversity, and harmonization of legislation in promoting sustainable business.
