Author Bio
Gökçen Karanfil is a faculty member at New Media and Communication Department in the Faculty of Communication at Izmir University of Economics. He teaches courses on media sociology, media theory and global media both in undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Karanfil's research interests include theories of globalization, theories of nationalism, transnational media flows and media sociology.
