Author Bio
Degan Yu is a Research Assistant Professor at Sun Yat-sen University, China). He joined the current position after completing his Ph.D. in the Supply Chain Management area at the University of Rhode Island. Earlier, he obtained his MBA and M.S. in Finance degrees from West Virginia University, and Bachelor in Computer Science & Technology from Guangzhou University. Degan’s current research interest is mainly in the finance area.
Mehmet G. Yalcin is Assistant Professor in University of Rhode Island. Dr. Yalcin held various engineering and managerial positions prior to joining academia. He is a certified Black Belt in Lean/Six Sigma (LSS), Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) and publishes in peer reviewed academic journals. Recognized with research and teaching awards, he conducts research relevant to Supply Chain Ambidexterity (SCX), teaches Operations and Supply Chain Management, Global Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Network Modeling and Optimization, and Management Systems Analysis to students and practitioners. Dr. Yalcin’s research focus is at the interface of sustainability and innovation with the focal point on SCX. His other interests include relational factors among supply chain members, process improvement, and humanitarian logistics.
