Biography
Jody Raphael is Senior Research Fellow, Emerita, at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. Before that, she practiced law for over 20 years with legal services programs in the Midwest. She remains keenly committed to improving the legal system’s responses to violence survivors. The author of four books, she has researched all areas of violence against women for over 35 years, demonstrating how violence makes and keeps women poor, publicizing her findings and advocating for change.
