Abstract
We focus on two variants of the game Cops and Robbers in which players are allowed to move faster than in the original game. Specifically, we study the infinite-speed game, wherein the robber is allowed to traverse any cop-free path on the underlying graph G on his turn. We also study the speed-(s,s) game, in which both the cops and the robber are allowed to move along paths of length at most s on their respective turns. In each variant, we seek to establish bounds on the cop numbers of different classes of graphs, with a focus on grid graphs.
