Abstract
Presentation for the 2021 New England Library Association Annual Conference.
Research, writing, and publication are requirements for many academic library positions, but what about others? Hearing the voices and experiences of librarians across all library types improves the profession as a whole. The conveners of this session collaborated with librarians across the country to publish an article on writing and publication. That team is now considering how to help colleagues find topics, beat procrastination and imposter syndrome, and share their wealth of knowledge with others. This table talk will preview a free program the team is developing to help other librarians, offer tips and advice, and ask for input regarding the program. During the session, attendees will identify obstacles to their research, writing, and/or publication goals, as well as formulate topics for future exploration.
