Abstract
Presents U-Th-Pb isotopic data from zircons which show that igneous plutonic activity was dominant in late Proterozoic and in Devonian times and that some rock units previously grouped together actually belong to distinctly different intrusive episodes. Also presents petrographic and geochemical data that provide criteria useful in distinguishing temporally and genetically different rock groups as future mapping proceeds. -Authors
