Abstract
Two signal processing techniques are presented which are specifically designed for time-varying multipath propagation. The first technique is a method for rapidly adaptive cancellation of interference. It is intended for cases in which local multipath near an array is not well known and can be time varying. The second technique is an improved algorithm for estimating the multipath time delays of a received transient signal. Measured underwater acoustic waveforms are used to provide specific examples for time delay estimation.
