I Want My Data! (Public Lecture)

"I Want My Data!" was a public lecture given by data artist Laurie Frick at the University of Rhode Island on March 20, 2019. Frick explored the bumpy future of data captured about us, as humans are shifting from mysterious beings to big data algorithms. Frick creates physical works and large-scale installations that imagine this completely wired “data-selfie” future. Frick holds an M.F.A. from the New York Studio School, an M.B.A from the University of Southern California, and studied at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program.
