Description

Museums preserve and display textiles and garments that are thousands of years old. To protect and display them in a safe manner, textile conservators are employed. Jessica Urick and Anna Rose Keefe are both textile conservators at the RISD museum in Providence, Rhode Island. As conservators, their job is to store, preserve, maintain, and keep documentation on various garments to prolong their lives for future use and observation.
