Abstract
Case studies and self-experiments have been and continue to be a part of the professional literature in psychology. Whether practicing knowledge is the same type of knowledge needed to validate the efficacy of practice is the question. The generalization of self-report methodologies to acceptance of case studies or self-experiments as primary tools of scientific validation cannot be made.
