Abstract
A multi-disciplinary program, the Fiber Optic and Bio-Sensor Research Group (FOBRG), involving four departments from three different colleges, has been established to investigate and develop possible applications of fiber optic sensors in a variety of fields. Although the disciplines are quite diverse, the principles of operation of these sensors in all these fields are similar. This paper discusses some of the applications of fiber optic sensors from our group.
