Abstract
This paper studies a process of self-sustained oscillation of a curved turbulent jet caused by its impingement on downstream gaseous columns. The experimental results have shown that several features of self-sustained oscillation of a turbulent curved jet in a confined space are different than those of similar oscillation process in a free turbulent jet. Its controllability in oscillation exhibits a potential territory for studying large coherent structure in shear layer and resonant effect.
