Abstract
Coastal management requires the integration of information about many uses and their environmental consequences. A technique that measures the intensity of several uses in a common framework is presented. Use is viewed as a flow of resources across the coastline. These flows are expressed using location quotients which compare the level of use in a specific region with national levels of usage. Results from a specific application of the technique are shown in the south-east Texas area. -from Author
