Abstract

Traditional college students are usually between eighteen and twentythree years of age. They typically begin college the September after graduation from high school. They often live on campus when they start college and this is usually the first time they have lived away from their parents. They frequently have no firm ideas about career goals and use the first two years of their college experience to determine where their interests and aptitudes lie. Many traditional students attend college with the financial support of their parents. With no firm goal in mind, some traditional students beginning college lack focus and motivation.
