Abstract
Paper given as part of Challenging Silences and Biases in the Historical Record at Archives/Records 2020: Creating our Future, Council of State Archivists and Society of American Archivists Virtual Joint Annual Meeting, August/September 2020 (session recorded on 24 July 2020, Q+A session on 1 September 2020). Paper discusses a course developed by the author for University of Rhode Island's General Education program using the university archives as both subject and lab. It also includes examples of the course’s experiential learning activities that can be adapted for use in more typical class or group visits to archives.
