Abstract

The paper analyzes the results from two surveys of the region through which the Antilles Current is supposed to flow. The time-dependent existence of an Antilles Current is discussed in the context of broader regional variability, in order to investigate whether it may be part of a seasonal pattern. In particular the transport through the Florida Straits has a seasonal dependence, and the seasonal variation of Sverdrup transport is shown.
