Abstract
1. The light attraction movements of the common starfish (Asterias forbesi) were studied to find possible relationships between attraction and light type. 2. In these experiments the starfish moved to any light area from a contrasting dark area. 3. Starfish attraction to a light or light area did not appear to depend on either a high or low light intensity. 4. Starfish attraction to light was most direct in the case of the flashing light when no conflict with beam patterns or reflections occurred. © 1969, Brill. All rights reserved.
