Performance of delta networks using multiple channels and output buffers

Abstract
Delta networks constructed with crossbars having multiple channels per port and multiple links connecting stages of crossbars are analysed. Performance figures are presented for such networks employing output buffers. It is seen that throughput exceeding 90% can be achieved with finite size buffers. © 1991 The Institution of Electrical Engineers. All rights reserved.
