Abstract
Four results concerning the use of Error Correcting and Compression Coding are presented. First, a motivating example of ECC is shown. Second, a generalization of the Kraft-McMillen inequality bounding the existence of ECCC codes is given. Third, preliminary techniques for generating ECC codes are explored. Finally, a construction that allows more complex ECCC codes to be built from simple codes is presented.
