Bryna Wortman, Associate Professor, Theatre. A historical documentary of the March on Washington in 1963 highlighted by Dr. Martin Luther King’s famed “I Have a Dream” speech before an audience estimated at 250,000 in front of the Lincoln Memorial. The documentary provides insight into the negotiations of the African‐American civil rights leadership with President John F. Kennedy and Robert Kennedy, and the involvement of the Hollywood film movers and shakers who were instrumental in facilitating the March. The documentary will be accompanied by a personal account from Prof. Wortman, who actually attended the March about 51 years ago.
