Abstract
This paper presents an inversion scheme to estimate the load distribution along the pile shaft using data from static pile load test. The input data consist of load at the pile head and the corresponding movement. A forward model consisting of a t-z model is combined with a Genetic Algorithm (GA) in this inversion scheme. The inversion scheme is applied to data from a field static pile load test. This inversion approach will be very useful when the pile is not instrumented with strain gages to measure the load distribution along the pile shaft.
