Abstract
Electrolyte oxidation generates polyethylene carbonate on cathode surface LiPF6 Electrolytes can dissolve Mn at elevated temperature Additives can inhibit the formation of Polycarbonate on the surface of the cathode, inhibit Mn ion dissolution in LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 cathodes and improve the cycling performance at higher voltages at elevated temperature Tetra substituted borates are novel additives which are easily modified Tetra substituted borates also improves the stability of LiPF6/carbonate.
