Abstract
This paper contains a review of chemical process simulation in the complex domain. The current theoretical framework and computational results for both steady-state and dynamical simulation are surveyed. In addition, issues related to process feasibility and infeasibility are discussed as are the advantages and disadvantages of complex domain process simulation. Numerical applications present in the literature are surveyed and developmental needs for the next generation of complex domain process simulators are suggested.
