Abstract
The phase transition dynamics and microstructure evolution in a crystalline surfactant mesophase was investigated. The time-dependent small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) was used in the investigation. It was observed that the hexagonal phase nucleates and remains at the equilibrium crystallographic d spacings and there was no relaxation of the lamellar d spacing over time.
