Sourcing and procurement are key functions for all supply chains. This presentation discusses how Corn Products International (CPI) has focused on transforming its strategic sourcing capabilities and integrating its operation with the overall supply chain for added values. In a short of sixteen months of period, CPI progressed well in its operational excellence journey developing its organizational capabilities, establishing process and technology frameworks and changing its sourcing practices from buying products at the lowest cost to its focus of total cost of ownership.
