A stage-matched smoking cessation program for pregnant smokers

An intervention program was developed for pregnant women smokers using the Transtheoretical Theory and a multimedia, interactive, computer-based expert system feedback protocol. Self-help manuals and counseling were staged-based. Approximately 75% of the eligible women participated in the program.
