The file attached is an edited Powerpoint Presentation I made for my honors project presentation. I edited information out to have idea privacy as I move forward with my book and desire to get it published.

Abstract

Making important information accessible to children is necessary to enact positive change for generations to come. I am writing a children’s book centered around renewable energy. It is intended for children aged 9-12 years old. The book’s style can loosely be traced back to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, in which there are minimalistic and “cartoony” sketches spaced between paragraphs of writing. I expect to involve a middle school class in my project so I can receive feedback to continue editing the book even after project presentations.

The setting of the book is a community farm named Keds Farm. The 1st person narrator is Roxy the Cow. Professor Pig who had been exposed to renewables during his time elsewhere teaches Roxy about them. As a way to diversify income, Maggie Ked has agreed to have a solar array and wind turbine built by a developer named Enewableray.
