Abstract
The problem of business model development and adaptation is endemic to new technologies. This problem is particularly acute when implemented in cross-cultural settings. This dissertation examines the development of business models in the emerging field of mobile commerce in Korea, China, and Japan. Factors that have been involved in this development are examined. A series of propositions are developed. Directions for future research are given.
