Biography
Chris Stark is the author of Carnival Lights and Nickels: A Tale of Dissociation. She is a co-editor (with Rebecca Whisnant) of Not for Sale: Feminists Resisting Prostitution and Pornography. She has published memoir essays, poetry, and academic articles. Her most recent scholarly article, “Strategies to Restore Justice for Sex Trafficked Native Women,” is available in The Palgrave International Handbook of Human Trafficking. She has an MFA in Creative Writing and an MSW. Chris has taught writing at universities and colleges for over two decades. An activist, speaker, and writer on sex trafficking, rape, and colonization, she is Indigenous and white. For more information: christinestark.com
