Description
Mr. Bozylinsky will discuss the current HPC environment just created in the Tyler Data Center and his vision for the future of HPC at URI. He will also cover a pending NSF HPC grant application and the creation of a center for e-research at URI. He will address sustainability of the center and the associated advantages such a center would bring to both researchers and the university including economies of scale, facilities and support, leveraging existing computing resources, and staffing. The seminar will conclude with a Q and A discussion with the faculty, students & attendees.
