Lars Saabye Christensen's "Beatles": A study in literary translation and cross-cultural influence

Abstract

This study concerns literary translation strategies, with a specific focus on the translation of Beatles, a contemporary Norwegian novel. The translation is included, along with a discussion of translating metaphors, translation and culture, theoretical perspectives on fidelity in translation, and the novel's Marxist perspective of artistic and cultural production. ^
