The influence of individual differences in preferences for sources of motivation in the resolution of intrapersonal conflict
This research addresses individual differences and the process by which individuals resolve intrapersonal conflict. A typology of sources of motivation is utilized to evaluate individual differences in decision-making preferences. A forced choice questionnaire and a decisional balance sheet are utilized to profile individual preferences for motivational sources and their correlation with decisional choices in resolving intrapersonal. conflict. The methodology is cross-validated with prior measures of individual differences in sources of motivation. Additionally, the concept of positive and negative motivational sources is explored. ^
