The event was coordinated by Edwin ("Tripp") Hutchinson, Program Coordinator for the Rainbow Diversity House. The dinner was co-sponsored and supported by the Rainbow Diversity House, the Office of Housing and Residential Life, the GLBT Center & the Office of International Education at the University of Rhode Island. Approximately $1000.00 was raised (after late community donations) and the event brought in close to 150 people. Local businesses provided donations and assistance for the event.
